About

* Extracellular sulfatases 1 and 2 are secreted proteins that remodel the glycosaminoglycans in the extracellular matrix by removing sulfate groups.
* SULF1 and SULF2 specifically act on GlcNAc 6-sulfate, diminishing the amount of heparan sulfate proteoglycans.
* SULF1 overexpression in ovarian cancer confers cisplatin resistance.
