• CEMIP2 is an extracellular membrane-bound protein responsible for degradation of hyaluronan (HA). Acts as a co-factor to catalyze b(1->4) bond cleavage in HA on cell surface.
• Requires the presence of Ca2+ to function on the cell surface.
